What level of influence do potential stakeholders have in the decision-making process during a peer interview? For instance, in my upcoming 3rd round interview involving three peers, following successful phone screenings and VP interviews, would a scenario where one peer has a positive impression while the others don't, or vice versa, significantly impact my chances of securing the job?

  1. Recruiter 1

    Once you make it past the direct hiring manager and get their green light, just don’t fk it up from there basically. Keep a positive attitude and just keep the same momentum going into the next rounds. The rest may be “influencers” but not necessarily the decision maker

    The preference of all stakeholders is consensus.. however the hiring manager almost always has the final say....

    In my experience, the stakeholders had all the power to decide. This was at a huge multibillion dollar company, and I'm sure it varies case by case.
