What Employees Say
I worked at AAPC full-time for more than 10 years
AAPC grew from a sleepy professional association to a major force in the health care information industry in the decade I was there thanks to a can-do culture. Staff continue to brew an exciting mix... of services for health care professionals. It's a great place to work for those with families, as the work/family balance is amazing. Dress code is relaxed, and the organizational structure is pretty informal. New approaches and media are rewarded. And the organization's members can be the best part of the job. A soup/salad/sandwich bar and workout room are provided to employees who wish to use them. Many employees telecommute from various places outside of Utah and the culture and technology make interactions seamless.
The work place is a bit dreary. Like many innovative companies, AAPC is in a converted warehouse and the limited palette of color and a paucity of windows can affect energy levels.
Advice to Management
Consider moving or doing things that will brighten up the work place.
