I have been working at AT&T part-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Great Benefits and discounts on merchandise & service.
Cons
Managers need constant training on how to manage staff and coach. Oftentimes they coast through role or are unable to develop successful staff. Promotion should be given to those who are actually... talented sales professionals and capable of developing staff.
Advice to Management
Remove point system permanently. Hinders productivity.
I worked at Suddenlink Communications full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Great company to work for. Great benefits/employee perks. Excellent pay in Direct Sales if you're willing to work.
Cons
Upper management is quite political. Almost no leadership training since the Altice USA acquisition.
Advice to Management
Crank up the communication with front line management. Quarterly/annual "all hands on deck" would be better than dividing everyone up by region.
