Advantage Solutions is "focused on nurturing a workplace where everyone is valued and respected, can do their best work and find satisfaction in what they do." This description from our Chief People... Officer reflects my own values and my job interview process and short time on the job (2 mo.) validates this as true. My Advantage interviewer, now supervisor, really made a positive impression on me. I'm the type of person who is confident in my capabilities to succeed in a well chosen career role, but I'm not as confident hiring managers will catch on that fact in a short interview with me. I ended up having a very encouraging first interview. Where it was clear, that the hiring manager understood how my career experiences matched his critically thoughtful needs. My second interview was a purposeful exercise where I was given current client requests and one preliminary presentation deck and asked to describe what my approach would be and why. This was an excellent way for me to comfortably prove that I represented the best solution to his hiring requirements. I demonstrated the most important job-relative strengths he was after. My resume was proof enough of everything else. What a delightful experience compared to the gauntlet to get hired at so many companies today. Image that, they knew what they were looking for and how to find it. I am so pleased I reached out to Advantage Solutions! I should note that I am what many would label an older worker. Anyone displaced from the work force near my age knows the reality of how hard it is to nail down that next career position, if that is even possible for them. My hiring manager was incredibly wise to ignore age and instead focus on finding who had the right knowledge, skills, experience and inclusive cultural fit.
