Current Employee - Senior Investment Representative

Pros

I have worked for a number of financial firms, but none of them have made me feel as comfortable and appreciated as NYL. Usually you're surrounded by people who are laser focused on your faults... rather than your successes and make you feel like your job is constantly in jeapordy. But my managers and team mates at NYL make me feel like they want to retain me and promote my growth. I can't say what it's like to be an agent, but working for the corporate side has been an excellent experience. The work can be demanding at times but your team will have your back and support you best they can. They've also been expanding the teams so the individual workload has been reduced and allowed us to give the best service we can to each situation. Especially since they changed my role to full time WFH/remote and it's a standard 40 hour work week, the work life balance is great as long as you're ok not choosing when you take breaks and lunch.

Cons

Initial base pay could be more competitive.
