Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at American Academy of Dermatology part-time

Pros

Flexible work environment with lots of social perks and interesting projects

Cons

Occasional imbalance of workload among managers observed depending on objectives and staffing

Advice to Management

Screen employees about skill sets and willingness to work as a team to get urgent tasks done during regular meetings

Former Employee - Computer Programmer

I worked at American Academy of Sleep Medicine full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Fantastic benefits, and a great work environment. The office promotes a family first culture, and puts great emphasis in developing camaraderie among the employees. Programmers are given the... opportunity to develop within a wide range of technologies.

Cons

The IT group is responsible for developing and maintaining several projects across many different technologies (Salesforce, .NET web forms, .NET MVC, native iOS, native Android, Xamarin, etc. ). The... amount of multi-tasking required to handle the resulting workload can be overwhelming at times, but management is actively working to alleviate this issue (and has made great strides in doing so).

Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing! You've worked hard over the past few years to completely revamp the office culture at the AASM, and the result has been nothing short of amazing.
