Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at American Express full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Talented and empathetic leaders who proactively seek out and address colleague feedback. Great culture of diversity and inclusion and promotion of work/life balance.

Cons

Even though the company strives toward engineering excellence and the adoption of modern tech practices, they are not a true tech-centric company. This can make it difficult to implement tech... strategy and drive cutting edge innovation.

Current Employee - Senior Associate Software Engineer

I have been working at Capital One full-time

Pros

Good place to learn about software development, heavy focus on infrastructure as code/AWS

Cons

Performance management is stressful and bureaucratic.
