Former Employee - Director

I worked at American Greetings full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

people. atmosphere, culture, building, location

Cons

management has been in place too long. very top down company

Current Employee - Sales Support Representative

I have been working at Hyland full-time for less than a year

Pros

The people are great, super welcoming and laid back. There are snacks, coffee, and 2 dinners on campus with pretty good food. Very philanthropic company, especially around the holidays. Always... opportunities to volunteer and use your VTO. PTO is pretty good, 15 days to start with 1 floating holiday, 1 1/2 VTO days, 12 flex days, and major holidays off. Full benefits with a 6% match for 401K. Daycare onsite for the little ones. Plenty of fun events for employees including Rocktoberfest, food trucks, welcome to work day, Holiday parties, Summer parties etc. Pay can be good depending on what department you’re in... So many on-site amenities like basketball court (indoor and outdoor), tennis courts, volleyball courts, bocce courts, hammocks, walking trails, bikes, slides, a game room, etc.

Cons

Pay can be different depending on what department you’re in. Sales tends to be the highest paid as well as management (team leads, managers, VPs etc.). Can be cliquey depending on what department... you’re in as well, but everyone for the most part is nice. 53% of the people that work for Hyland are referrals...so naturally, a lot of family members do work here, so nepotism has been mentioned, but at the end of the day, Hyland only hires those who will do the best job. Benefits can be expensive
