What Employees Say
I have been working at Argo Group full-time for more than 10 years
Argo Group offers some of the most exciting opportunities within the insurance industry. It is always evolving and works hard to stay ahead of the curve in most every aspect. While this type of... organization may not be a fit for all, it affords those that have the drive to influence change and really own something that can make a difference opportunities to succeed. If you have a great idea and want to pursue it, Argo will listen say go do it...
At times it appears that Argo doesn't know what it wants to be, so it is ever changing and lots of employees see this as uncomfortable. There have been layoffs in the past which give employees an... uncomfortable feeling. But it does value great talent and will evolve their roles and find other areas for those that can make the transition to something new.
Advice to Management
Take time to explain organizational change and bring them along with the change so it doesn't feel as abrupt
I have been working at Cementos Argos full-time
Argos is a great company to work for! They offer a very fair, comprehensive benefits package and 401k plan. The company is very innovative and really focuses on sustainability, which is very... important in the building materials industry. Argos management is innovative and is continuously working to keep positive working conditions and work/life balance for it's employees. In the regional office, management is open to flexible work hours to alleviate driving time. Argos also does a lot of internal hiring, which speaks volumes about the culture.
Communication from top management down was previously an issue but with the new US President, this has been addressed and communication is very open and transparent.
Advice to Management
Continue being open to options that allow employees work/life balance.
