What Employees Say
I worked at Australian Taxation Office
Pros
- Equal Opportunity Employer for both men/women - Great leave benefits - Standard working hours - Flexible working hours
Cons
- Work load is up and down depending on projects that are happening - Working with some contracting firms used can impact the flexible working arrangement - Career progression is determined by... standard apply/interview process - so depends on availability of funding for positions, and resourcing requirements more than whether you're doing a good job
Advice to Management
- appreciate your staff more and stand up to higher management more. - Dates aren't properly considered and staff are frequently asked to work long hours during peak periods because proper planning... wasn't in place for delivery timeframes - Employ better architects. Out of date decisions and designs make for poor implementation strategies and products.
I have been working at Australian Prudential Regulation Authority full-time for more than 10 years
Pros
Great mandate serving the Australian community, reasonable salary and benefits
Cons
Senior leaders do not operate as one common unit, priorities are variable between leaders which can lead to a silo mentality and staff not speaking up
Advice to Management
Listen to your people
