I have been working at B&G Foods full-time for more than a year

Pros

Great group of people, I really, really like my coworkers. Good culture and the company is headed in an exciting direction. Healthy work environment, somewhat flexible scheduling allowed/accommodated... when needed. Management and leadership are accessible and approachable.

Cons

Salaries seem quite a bit lower than elsewhere. Internal promotional opportunities aren’t easy to come by. Annual salary increases are next to nothing - not remotely competitive.

Advice to Management

Consider recognizing the value of current employees by giving adequate raises.

Pros

Working at BGMC has been a great experience. For those looking to enter the world of marketing or those who enjoy working for non profit organizations this is the opportunity of a lifetime. We are a... company who is fueled by entrepreneurial minds. There is training for employees from the very beginning. Employees learn a plethora of marketing principals, communication skills, and improving the way they present themselves. The company culture is amazing. Company employees treat each other as friends and equals. They encourage each other to grow as much as possible. BGMC does not hire external management for our company. We only promote employees from within the company. Promotions are offered within in very reasonable time periods as opposed to waiting years like other companies.

Cons

The company needs more employees who are hungry for success. BGMC is a team of young, very driven individuals who are driven by various factors. One thing can definitely said for certain with every... promotion is a chance to get a higher salary. Entry level associates in the firm make a great salary even at the starting point in their careers. Upper level management is always available to provide new employees with guidance, motivation, and direction. The CEO is very accommodating to the employees needs, different situations, and is always available to help.
