Former Intern - Technical Infrastructure Placement Student

I worked at Baillie Gifford for more than a year

Pros

- Supportive culture that allows interns to thrive and learn about new technologies - Your not making the tea, you are doing serious tasks which can be business critical - Has lunchtime clubs such... as the monthly run club which enforces the culture of the company of having a good work/life balance - Medical aid rooms can also be used to pray for people of faith

Cons

None that come to mind

Advice to Management

To keep doing what they are doing, they can't go wrong with the culture they have at Baillie Gifford.

Current Employee - Production Support Analyst

I have been working at FNZ full-time for less than a year

Pros

+ I’ve had a very steep learning curve, and don’t see that changing in the near future, there’s always something new to learn + The team is full of friendly, young, willing to help and very... knowledgeable people + Work-life balance is good in my team, however, this seems to vary drastically across teams + It’s a multi-cultural environment in a fantastic location + Great company culture with social events and benefits that contribute to a healthy lifestyle

Cons

I am still very new and don’t see any big cons so far. But some trainings are not timed well, and take place too far in the future i.e. SQL. These should ideally take place in the first month on the... job to be actually helpful.
