Cons
Featured Review

Current Employee - Strategist

I have been working at Balsam Brands full-time

Pros

Company walks the talk - has defined values and follows them, starting to put emphasis on ensuring processes and systems are efficient

Cons

Silos, Communication struggles, technology is having to catch up

Advice to Management

Take the time to get your systems set up to fit the growth of the company. This will allow you to expand quickly rather than spend resources fixing what falls through the cracks.

"Good people!"Jan 11, 2015

Former Employee - Line Cook

I worked at Columbus Food League full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

For a restaurant job, it's a great place to work. Lax environment, no uniforms, free meals, creativity to do your own thing with food specials, no micromanagement, above average pay, cool bosses,... locally owned, they do a lot of good work in the community.

Cons

Not tons of room for advancement but par for the course in restaurants this size. Some of their locations are open until 2:30am so it's late hours. They're open 7 days a week.

Advice to Management

Fire people that are dead weights more quickly. Some folks in the kitchen should have been fired ages ago.
