Featured Review

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at Bank of England full-time for less than a year

Pros

Hands-on approach. Friendly and collegial.

Cons

maybe too hierarchical at times

Current Employee - Policy Advisor

I have been working at HM Treasury full-time for more than a year

Pros

Rewarding work at the centre of British policy and politics. Working with very smart people. Support and training opportunities. Always something to do.

Cons

Huge turnover and changes in teams, which means hard to get expertise in one role. Little time available to reflect and deepen understanding of policy area. Low pay vis à vis private sector.

Advice to Management

Tackle turnover issue and encourage people to do more creative thinking.
