Pros

Fun atmosphere and opportunity to grow and move up within the company.

Cons

Large open space work area, gets a little loud.

I have been working at Beam Suntory full-time for more than a year

Pros

- Decent benefits with 4% 401K match, 7% profit sharing and 20 PTO days to start. - Culture is very fast paced but never becomes contentious. Even with deadlines, everyone remains very casual,... friendly and collaborative. - The people are very smart and genuinely take an interest in getting to know each other. - Brands and categories are a TON of fun to work on. Especially in marketing - spirits is a very interesting category to work in. - Office is in a great location for both city and suburb commuters, with a cool open (but not too open) work space.

Cons

- Tendency to reorg every 6-12 months makes it hard for brands to maintain continuity and for teams that work on the brands to become true experts/stewards of the brand. - Constant fire drills when... questions or suggestions come down from upper management. Often creates unnecessary work, spinning of wheels, and contradictory direction. - Working teams are very lean, meaning there is often too much work to get done during the day. But as long as you can prioritize and communicate capacity, people don't expect you to work nights/weekends. - Middle management level is very crowded, meaning it's difficult for lower level employees to see a path upward.

Advice to Management

- Recognize that simple questions or suggestions from you are being taken as direction and causing unnecessary fire drills. Allow teams to push back when your suggestions aren't the right thing to do... for the business. - Stop reorganizing the teams so often so people can build true knowledge and connection to their brands.
