Featured Review

Current Employee - Software Engineer Co-Op

I have been working at Bell Canada full-time

Pros

Great place as co-op in software dev, lots of social/community support. The experience will vary considerably between teams but generally very welcoming of newcomers. Try to ask your manager in... advance for specific tools/skills requiredt so you're not going in based on high level things like "web development in Java" or something like that.

Cons

Moderate/low pay as co-op, but opportunities for better compensation after graduation so can definitely be worth chugging through for the experience

"Senior Analyst"Dec 8, 2017

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at Cancer Care Ontario full-time

Pros

Many project opportunities, get to work with cross-functional teams. Members are very collaborative and intelligent

Cons

Too hierarchical, very top heavy organization. Too many review cycles for each document/process which increases the time it takes to launch projects

Advice to Management

Change the hierarchy structure, more opportunities for people to make decisions, less checking at every level, more autonomy
