Former Intern - MBA Intern

I worked at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for less than a year

Pros

Meet with all top executives, participate with intern cohort (volunteering, social activities, lunch and learns etc.), see inner workings of the foundation, attend summer picnic blowout! Ability to... travel

Cons

As an intern, while you get to see a lot but your work is tailored to what the Foundations needs, not necessarily lining up with what you want to get out of the internship.

Former Employee - Senior Manager

I worked at One Acre Fund full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Great team that is mission focused. They do a good job finding talent that wants to make a real impact

Cons

Some positions require a very rural placement, make sure you understand what you are getting into

Transparency in decision making on a global level
