Featured Review

Former Intern - Anonymous Intern

I worked at Bloomsbury

Pros

You get hands on experience in a nurturing atmosphere. I had a helpful mentor and from beginning to end I received a lot of guidance. They made the work fun. I gained a lot of insight into the... publishing world that books and classes couldn't fully provide.

Cons

I didn't have any bad experiences during my time here.

Former Intern - Editorial Intern

I worked at Penguin Random House for less than a year

Pros

The team I worked for was very friendly and was eager to help me learn. I worked on many different projects and was given many responsibilities.

Cons

Not long enough. I am aware that it is an internship and is therefore limited but I do wish that the internship would have been longer or that my work week was longer.

Advice to Management

Find a way to involve the intern more within the team. Interns often work on their own and it is easy to feel left out.
