Former Employee - Supervisor

I worked at Boise full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Great people that work safely and effectively to ensure our customers received a quality product. The pay and benefits are great and management continually looks for ways to improve efficiency and... reduce waste. There is still much of a family atmosphere at a lot of it's locations and I hope that continues in the future.

Cons

If your afraid to work hard and do odd shifts it may not be the right fit for you.

Advice to Management

Help employees and supervisors continue to grow and learn new things. Focus on what an employee contributes and less on politics.

Environmental Engineering Co-op

I worked at Boise Paper

Pros

Friendly environment, very nice and helpful people. Many projects to work on and always opportunities to learn. Very self driven to get work done, flexible hours as long as work was done. Strong... focus on safety and promoting safe habits.

Cons

Very busy, always something to do, sometimes stressful. Not very accepting of change. Training methods could use improvement, my training was more self taught. Some long hours and needed to work... unscheduled weekends and late nights.
