I worked at Bright Horizons Family Solutions full-time for more than a year


Friendly and family like staff. Bosses who stood up for you and made sure you were treated fairly and kindly by parents. Accommodating and understanding of personal situations. Raise every year... on one year anniversary. Very diverse and accepting of all cultures.


Some days are long hours when too many teachers are out. Lunch breaks aren’t on a exact schedule it’s based on when someone can come sit in your class and relieve you.

I have been working at Success Academy Charter Schools full-time for more than 3 years


-Professional Development is provided throughout the school year and in the summer so you are always getting better as a teacher -Leaders are constantly in and out of classrooms providing in the... moment feedback to help you improve your trade -Materials are supplied for you (this was a huge PRO after coming from a public school where all of my supplies were purchased using my own meager paycheck) -The Education Institute (on SA's website) provides teachers (in and out of the network) with thorough and comprehensive unit and lesson plans to lessen some of the work load. We are allowed to add our own spin on lessons, they are not scripted! You still feel as if you can be an individual in your classroom. -This network of school allows teachers to be a part of a movement bigger than themselves, Success Academy is proving that your zip code does NOT determine your quality of education! -FREE copies (color copies too), to a teacher this is unheard of and such a blessing, if you are coming from a school where this is not the case, you understand how special this is! -As a special education teacher for 6 years, I can honestly say that I have felt more supported in Success than in my previous schools. We have an entire team (at each school) dedicated to special education. For those of you who have organized countless IEP meetings on your own, written IEPs for a caseload that was far too large for a single human to handle or had to do all of your potential referrals on your own, you can say goodbye to that at Success. Your special Ed team (referred to as the STaT team) will assist you in ALL of these tasks and simply do a lot of them for you. (You will only be asked to do IEP progress reports and the Present Levels of Performance section of the IEP). They even organize the meetings, you just show up with your notes ready! -The kids are amazing and you will have so much fun. -No two days are ever the same so you will definitely not get bored. -Great insurance plan, better than not just other teachers but than peers in other fields.


-This job is not easy, but how can a job that yields such positive results be easy? You have to be in it for the right reason. -Sometimes it is hard to avoid taking home work, both physical work and... the mental stress of the work. I found this to be the case in my 3 years of teaching prior to coming to Success, unfortunately, I believe it is simply part of the profession.
