Former Employee - Patient Care Technician

I worked at Brookdale Senior Living full-time for less than a year

Pros

I loved the job and the patients.

Cons

It’s a lot to deal with mentally, and it’s not like jobs give PTO for days you want to deal with/work on mental health issues.

Advice to Management

Add paid days for mental healthcare

Current Contractor - Coding Consultant

I have been working at Harmony Health Care for more than 3 years

Pros

High base salary, little else

Cons

Work as a coder. Poor position descriptions. Poor coder support. No assistance with CEU's and Certifications. Will contract with any client, regardless of their quality. I could go on, but time... is precious.

Advice to Management

If you want to be a health care solutions provider, stop being a health care associate placement agency and start providing real consulting services and more support to filed employees.
