Featured Review

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Brown & Brown Insurance full-time

Pros

Culture, flexibility, compensation & benefits

Cons

Need to modernize delivery of some benefits (e.g., 401(k))

Current Employee - Claims

I have been working at Preferred Warranties full-time

Pros

Work life balance, culture, remote work from home, opportunities for growth and development, excellent benefits including lots of time off

Cons

Need more products and need them to be improved for the current times, what worked well 20 years ago may not still work well today. Need to continue embracing innovation and creativity to improve... our company processes for our customers and for the employees of PWI, what worked well 20 years ago may not still work well today.

Advice to Management

People are in positions because they are knowledgeable and want what is best for the customer and company, so let your people have the ability to do their jobs with your trust and do not micromanage.... Don’t let the fear of what might happen stall progress and growth and create overreactions before anything bad has happened and in some cases something bad never happens.
