Former Employee - Account Representative

I worked at All Star Directories, Inc. full-time for more than a year

Pros

All Star gives you a lot of freedom to be assertive and get what you want out of the position you're in. They do a great job of giving you the tools and training necessary to adapt to the new role... when you arrive, and are invested in their employees. Being a relatively small, employee owned company allows you to voice your opinion and feel as though you have an impact on many of the day to day situations. Flexible work schedule, good compensation and competitive benefits are all good reasons to work here. As long as you get your work done on time and are consistent you won't have any issues. Management does a good job of making sure they're in constant contact with you to manage work load and congratulate you on individual and team wins. Besides the good work environment and free food/coffee/pizza, there are genuinely great people who work at All Star Directories. From day one they do a great job of making you feel comfortable and are down to catch a happy hour or concert. They put an emphasis on hiring people who are going to be good for the culture and I think they did a good job of that while I was there. I had a great time working at ASD and met some people that I'll be in contact with for a long time. Be weary of the negative experiences others had in the past, many of those are written by bitter people who probably wonder why they keep leaving companies with bad experiences (must be bad luck, right). There have been many changes at All Star over the past years and I believe that this company is headed in the right direction and has a very bright future.

Cons

Not too many cons if you play your cards right. Depending on what you're looking for I believe you can get what you want out of this company. They're a willing participant in your career development... and allow opportunities for growth.

Advice to Management

Keep listening to employees and make changes where necessary. Keep hiring great people and things will continue to look up for All Star.
