Featured Review

Current Employee - Information Technology

I have been working at Canal Barge Company full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Work home life balance and everyone is treated like family. Privately owned, 90 year old company, sometimes feels like a start up. They promote employees to give management feedback and management... listens. CEO is a great leader.

Cons

Some silo's that do not share, employees need better education for proper literacy and computer skills.

Advice to Management

Bring in some type of tuition reimbursement and promote continuous learning so your employees stay sharp.
