I have been working at Cardinal Solutions full-time for more than a year

Pros

Great "bench" policy unlike other contract firms. Challenging work. Deployment to great local companies.

Cons

Challenging work; Cardinal does not silo people based upon experience. People are all awesome and highly capable IT professionals, but they are either treated largely as Swiss Army Knifes or the... types of work available are not consistent. This leads to a bit of a stressful situation.

Advice to Management

Keep nurturing the awesome culture and environment through (and beyond) the acquisition. Also, figure out how resources can be positioned more and more as Consultants. Focusing individual work load... may facilitate growing these kind of resources and reduce the stress created by steep tech on-boarding.

I worked at Ascendum Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

I had a great time being a consultant working for Ascendum Solutions .Although I never worked out of Ascendum's office I always had access to resources made available by the company. Mark, Ria and... Tonya were always reachable and helped me secure contracts that helped me a great deal in my career and also went the extra mile to help me with visa. They were all willing to help me advance my career.

Cons

Not too many, but I missed interactions with other senior engineers in the company. Ascendum did organize a lot of events to facilitate that but participation wasn't always great.
