Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Carnegie Corporation full-time for more than a year

Pros

Great benefits, nice staff and office

Cons

Lots of busy work, lazy thinking about policy areas that are undergoing seismic changes

Advice to Management

Hire better and smarter

Former Intern - MBA Intern

I worked at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for less than a year

Pros

Meet with all top executives, participate with intern cohort (volunteering, social activities, lunch and learns etc.), see inner workings of the foundation, attend summer picnic blowout! Ability to... travel

Cons

As an intern, while you get to see a lot but your work is tailored to what the Foundations needs, not necessarily lining up with what you want to get out of the internship.
