Dynamic and challenging work and projects. Very good leadership. Managers know what they are looking for and are open for suggestions and feedback, though they do not tolerate laziness and silos.... There was a sense of accomplishment when the projects were done on time and on budget. Lots of smart and interesting people in the teams. Great pay (even with reduced rates during Covid). Great office facilities (Houston, TX).
I found that there was a looming fear of loosing the job in the teams. It did not feel very easy/comfortable. Another one - contractors often do not feel like a part of the team. Some of the... decisions were made without our involvement though we were integral part of the long term solution. I guess that is the nature of contract work anyways.
