I worked at Meta Company full-time for more than a year
Every person is insanely talented at Meta. You learn in one month what you would learn in one year at a normal company. If you show up and care and work hard then you will get the ear of upper... management who will be ready to collaborate and temper your ideas to change the course of this path blazing company.
You don't always know just how important your roll is because things move so fast and there are so many exciting things. It is easy to forget that iteration is key in a start up and if you lose sight... of this then you may lose sight of the vision at Meta which is centered on making a great product that a lot of people will love to use. It can be hard some days at Meta but it is easy to forget that you are literally making the most advanced technology in the world with the most talented individuals. It is a great place. But only join the company if you are ready to be challenged in a lot of ways. It is not for the feint of heart. It is not for a 9 to 5 person who thinks it may be cool to be at a start up. You have to be dedicated to the vision of AR.
Advice to Management
If you believe in something then use your voice because everyone there wants to hear you. Meron deeply cares about everything that anyone has to say if they can articulate it and demonstrate it... logically. I think empathy and active listening are two things that could take every single person in the company further. I don't have any complaints. My manager was amazing. He cared. He gave autonomy to those under him as long as they understood the direction. Keep up the passion everyone!
