Former Employee - Direct Care Staff

I worked at Commonwealth of Massachusetts full-time for more than a year

Pros

Is a State Job with a lot of benefits

Cons

The group home was far from my house

Former Employee - Social Worker

I worked at Massachusetts Department of Children and Families full-time

Pros

Loved working here! Really provided me with great experience in the field of social work, I was able to enhance and develop many skills. My unit was very supportive and helpful, which is something... that is important to have when working for DCF. Compensation and room for growth was a plus as well - they support you continuing your education and provide opportunities associated with that.

Cons

High caseloads, stress levels can be high - but manageable with balance.
