I worked at Community Health Systems full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

This is a highly organized company with excellent corporate benefits. Of course it has a 401(k) but it also has a deferred compensation plan, various levels of health insurance purchases, Wide choice... of product within the 401(k), And the plan that allows you to buy a prescription and your prescription drug drugs with pretax dollars.

Cons

This company has absolutely no opportunity for physician input into management styles, practice styles, or even daily choices of product purchases, etc.

Advice to Management

The company should respect Physician input much more highly. There should be some sort of physician governance structure.

You make as much as you want. Family-oriented company. Great opportunity for advancement.

Cons

Disgruntled customers, as with any retail job.
