What Employees Say
I have been working at Crown Castle full-time for more than a year
I came from a company that was truly toxic, where the management team were bullies and did not care about their employees. Where people worked long hours, had no work/life balance, were micromanaged... and constantly felt that their manager or executive team was out to get them. Crown Castle is the COMPLETE opposite of it. The executive management team at Crown CARES about what is going on at the individual level. One example of this and how they take time out every 3 months to take questions from the employees (ranging from technical questions to benefits to even asking for school debt repayment) and address them as fast as they can. Trust me, Crown is not how some of these comments describe it to be. The company has grown a lot and of course there are some growing pains that come along. The company is on track to only improve and get better. I believe that some of these negative comments are stemming from people who don't adapt to change well and instantly blame the entire company for their frustration when perhaps it could be resolved by discussing with their manager /director etc. or by taking a step of action to resolve the issue at hand. Crown is amazing. Our CEO is so down to earth and truly cares about IC. The company has invested lots of money in technology and development opportunities so that people can work more efficiently and grow in their careers. I have been blown away by the kindness of the people here and how willing they are to help you in whatever you need. Work like balance is great. Work schedule is flexible. The benefits are fantastic. I am grateful to be working here.
It can be difficult at times for contractors to find full time positions which can be disheartening for contractors because they want to work for Crown full time as they see what a great company it... is. Sometimes the interview process can take too long.
Advice to Management
Continue doing Company Conversations and staying true to who you are as individuals. I know that it is hard to address every concern at once and have to be tackled down based on priority. Some people... feel frustrated, which is normal with growth and when there is a vision in place. Stay true to the company's values and we will accomplish the goals set before us. Continue to hear everyone out. Crown has so many skilled and high quality employees. Let's build upon that trust and reward people for the value they bring. The future is bright for Crown and there are many excited to be part of this journey.

There is a 15 minute shoulder massage once every other week.
The company has a fake front they put on to sound like they care about their team, but nothing could be further from the truth. They overwork their team on all levels, then pay minimum wage as... they are extremely stingy in only offering $0.50 extra for valuable bilingual agents or overnight shifts. Industry standard wage for call centers in Alberta is $18 to $20 an hour, and they only pay $15. You would have to work at least a year to get $1 raise. Benefits are almost non-existent with no coverage and only $800 health spending account for an entire year for one person, or $1,500 for a family which would barely cover one dental visit. You're looked down on and discriminated against for taking any sick days and they have no tolerance for even the most serious life or health situations interrupting your work life. Management is disorganized and dysfunctional acting like bully kids in a schoolyard picking on and shunning those they don't like. The culture is one of secrecy, lies, miscommunication, empty promises, hierarchy, it's a "members only club" where very few will ever be allowed into the "inner circle". Hard work is not appreciated or recognized, just expected. There is no way to succeed, only fail.
Advice to Management
Fire your leadership team, learn to communicate, stop deceiving your employees, actually care about others rather than pretending.
