Current Employee - Stylist

I have been working at David's Bridal part-time for more than 3 years

As a stylist, I not only help a woman find her dream wedding gown, but I have the opportunity to help shape her dream wedding. With the help of supportive management, a great alterations team, and my... fellow stylists, we come together to make a short 90 minute appointment a very memorable experience for the bride and her family. The job itself is fast paced, challenging, and rewarding, but it is the team of managers and coworkers that make this role what it is. This is a community of women working together, whether that’s to find a dream dress or to cover a shift when needed. The flexibility that comes with having many talented stylists on our team cannot be beat. Whether you’re excited to come into or not, by the time you leave, you’ve had a full and rewarding day. As far as working commission goes, the company has a base pay that is excellent, so adding commission to that is fantastic. The commission structure is well done and lends itself to making sure the stylist does well.

There are just some days that you cannot win, whether that’s by not having the “dream gown” a woman saw on Pinterest or maybe you just don’t make that connection, but overall, the bad days are few... and far between.

Advice to Management

Keep giving stores the freedom to make decisions that make the customers happy. Without the trust and satisfaction of the customers, our stores cannot be successful. Over the last year, the... improvements from management to styles to sales and promotions has been incredible and I hope to see that continue.

Amazing store manager i absolutely loved this job. everyone was so nice and the staff really did feel like family if i didn't have to go back to school i most defiantly would have stayed!

It can get very hectic at times but other than that i have no complaints!
