Current Employee - Account Planning

I have been working at Deutsch full-time

Pros

Great people, great atmosphere. Dog friendly.

Cons

Pending on your team, especially if you are creative. Hours can be long. Mine are fine, so if you end up in research it's not something you need to worry about.

Former Employee - Account Executive

I worked at The Kern Organization full-time for more than a year

Pros

- KERN is a mid-size agency with fortune 500 clients - Culture is fairly positive, hugely family-oriented - CEO and VP's are great, they actually care about their employees - Overall you have a... good work/life balance - Tons of opportunity to manage big projects from start to finish - Huge exposure to direct contact with c-level clients, strategy development and project management - If you work hard you get promoted, that simple - The VP's have an open door policy and will never turn you away which is NOT common in agency life, which goes to show that the agency cares to retain their employees and give them equal opportunities for business growth - Free seminars, online course and training - Free snacks and food - More happy hours than a few years ago

Cons

- Assistant to the CEO is really rude but the front desk manager is so sweet that it evens things out - Can't work from home

Advice to Management

I would say, allow people to work remote, there's a lot of talent and a bit of flexibility can go a long way.
