Former Contractor - Project Management

I worked at Diageo for more than 10 years

Pros

Make all sorts of lists such as best workplaces for moms/dads and lgbt folks. Think they genuinely want to reduce their environmental footprint and be good corp citizens. Pretty casual in terms of... attire and schedule; a number of remote employees but not sure what the official policy is Other folks are bright and know what they're doing; I almost always felt enabled by my colleagues, rather than hindered Salary seems comparatively reasonable Continues to do well in the stock market Introducing new technologies to stay ahead of the curve, but not too far A beautiful open bar upstairs! Responsible drinking is a must but it makes a great venue to mingle with colleagues.

Cons

IT is being offshored and down-sized like mad so morale is down a bit. I think true for other departments as well. Maybe good business decision but definitely hurts morale for the impacted folks as... well as the folks who rely on them. Keeping hours down to something close to 40 can be a challenge, especially with the downsizing.

Current Employee - Area Manager

I have been working at Treasury Wine Estates full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

One Team, One Dream mentality. Although we are all competitive, I never feel as if I’m being pitted against my coworkers. We genuinely support one another and want to see each other succeed. This... mindset comes from the top. I am blessed with a fantastic manager. He doesn’t micromanage & is an advocate for everyone on his team. He encourages growth and helps to get us to the next level. There are always opportunities for development, whether it be sales training or a new program where we have the opportunity to learn tasks from a different role within the company. The wine!!!! The product we get to sell is amazing. We have the best 90+ point wines in the world, as well as solid staples and the fun-to-sell popular innovation. (Did I mention the employee discount???)

Cons

Although “change” is a good thing, it brings a lot of anxiety. TWE has had its fair share of change.
