I have been working at Digital River

Pros

Great coworkers, interesting work and company. Employee engagement and culture matters to mgmt (as seen with efforts by hr). New CEO is a genuinely good guy.

Cons

CEO and leadership are making much needed changes but as the old saying goes "culture eats operations for lunch". While it's too soon to say if this holds true, the old sales culture of shopping for... a yes and doing end runs is hard to break.

Advice to Management

Be consistent. It's easier said then done at times but that is when it is most important.

I have been working at 2Checkout

Pros

When I was looking for jobs, I found 2Checkout on Glassdoor. Honestly, once I saw the negative reviews, I became hesitant. However, I decided to interview anyway, and I'm so glad I did for the... following reasons: There is plenty of work to do, so the days go fast, but it's never overwhelming or stressful. You get to leave your work at work, and are not expected to stay connected 24/7, like many other jobs. The managers (that I've come into contact with anyway) are great. They know the best combination of checking in with you without making you feel like they are micro-managing. They actually TRUST you to do your job, and let you do it! If you find something else in the company that interests you, everyone is very encouraging to move around and allows for shadowing / training to make the move. Snacks in the kitchen are a benefit -- there's just about anything to satisfy a craving of yours, whether it be sweet, salty, or crunchy. The people here are also fantastic. Everyone is SUPER helpful, and will answer any question that you may have, OR find the person that can help you. Honestly, in ten years of working in the "adult" world, I've never worked at a place where I truly feel like I'm contributing, valued, and a part of the team. This place is great and the location couldn't be more convenient! :) Highly recommend

Cons

Because the company is located in an industrial-type open area, we have natural light paneling on the roof - at certain points in the day, it can get very bright! Because of this, the temperature can... vary from cold (bring a jacket to keep here) to warm in the afternoons.

Advice to Management

401k match would be great! (Though I believe this is in the works)
