Current Employee - Modeler

I have been working at DreamWorks Animation full-time for more than a year

Pros

The collaborative culture of the modeling department here is really amazing and creates a joyful and nurturing work environment. The talent of the team is also world class. DreamWorks studio... culture overall is phenomenal and unparalleled. Artistic development and training programs are much appreciated. Work/life balance is fantastic.

Cons

Limited upward mobility. Studio perks seem to be trending downwards under NBCU leadership

Advice to Management

Please invest more in employees and technology; Please continue to offer more opportunities for growth and development; Please reinstate the employee friends/family guest free lunches. When... employees feel valued and fulfilled they create their best work and return greater value to their employer.

Former Employee - Senior Compositor

I worked at DNEG full-time for more than a year

Pros

High-quality VFX work with a sensable turn around time. Small studio feel with a big-budget pipeline. A real studio effort to keep you from having to do any overtime. Great pay with yearly review... raises. Full-time benefits with some offered to part-time. Positive environment.

Cons

The office is still tempory but a permanent one in under construction. Sometimes more work falls onto your shoulders because of others mishandling.
