Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Explore Schools full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

As an employee of Explore Schools for over 5 years, I can honestly say I've never worked in a more supportive, dedicated work environment. I've loved expereincing how hard work & expectations... translate into significant growth in student achievement, and on a personal level, as a working mom, it's been wonderful to work for colleagues that value work/life balance.

Cons

You're held to high expectations, which can be a pro or a con... :)

Current Employee - Teacher

I have been working at VOICE Charter School full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

For the past 5 years, I have been a VOICE classroom teacher. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing people I have ever met. Every teacher cares for and values their students... and their school. We meet regularly to design a curriculum that both fosters independence and nurtures growth. We believe in our students and they always come first. I have the support of my administration in my ongoing pursuit of excellence as a teacher. They often find professional development opportunities for me to increase my effectiveness. They push me to reach heights I never thought possible. At my school, I feel a part of something bigger. We are a family. We know each other, we care for each other, and we grow together. When people visit our school, the first thing they usually mention is the sincere sense of community. We are all in this together to help our students achieve the greatness that is inside all of them.

Cons

Because we design our own lessons, finding the time to do everything can be stressful, but it’s worth it.
