Former Employee - Corporate Trainer

I worked at Vistage Marketing full-time for less than a year

Pros

In an economy where nobody is hiring people without 2-3+ years experience, even for entry-level positions, it is awesome that a company will actually give someone a chance to prove themselves like... Vistage Marketing Inc does!!! Their goals align with those of their employee s and the success rate of their management running successful campaigns for their clients can only be attributed to their extensive training program. I would recommend this company to use for revenue generation to prospective clients as well as for employment for job seekers looking for opportunity.

Cons

The sales and marketing is easy with practice, but a fundamental goal of theirs is training people to be strong leaders. Unfortunately, not everyone is capable of being an effective leader when it... comes to managing different personalities or training different personalities. Even though they train people to be effective in sales and marketing, that is not their major goal. Their major goals are training strong leaders. Strong leadership skills are not something easily learned, but with the right attitude and motivation can be obtained. It is a bit different being a leader in sales, training, and recruiting than it is being in sports.

Advice to Management

Talk to local colleges and universities about the possibility of students being able to utilize the training program to help students get "real world" experience in both direct marketing as well as... leadership associated with managing a business.
