Current Employee - Vice President

I have been working at First Internet Bank full-time for more than a year

Pros

Collaborative working environment. Focus on associates and their individual development. Assembly of talent from diverse backgrounds and industries leads to innovative thinking. Transparent senior... leadership. Entrepreneurial spirit. Servicing customers is demonstrated from top down. Good benefits package.

Cons

None come to mind - a truly unique financial institution with a 20 year track record of success.

Advice to Management

Continue to communicate and include employees in plans for building of new headquarters to ease inevitable angst of moving.

Current Employee - Commercial Lines Underwriter

I have been working at FCCI Insurance Group full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

With FCCI being my first career out of college, I was a bit fearful in different respects. Would I make an immediate impact? Would I provide value, or just be another employee? Is there a career path... for me? Will I receive the training needed to learn the industry and excel in my career? Would the pay/benefits put me in a position to thrive in my personal life? The overwhelming answer to each of these questions; YES! I am beyond thankful to have found such an amazing organization. A company that values me as both an individual and a teammate, but also recognizes the ever-growing necessity of self-improvement and growth. To date, I have not gone without in any of the important areas of my career. FCCI always seeks ways to do better, with or without being asked. They strive to improve the lives of all teammates and seek to be inclusive at all times. Entering the insurance industry three years ago, when the industry (as a whole) began experiencing some tough times, top Management stood in front of the masses, recognized the challenges ahead and then doubled down in the trust they had instilled in us. I could not feel more secure and more valued than I do right now. FCCI is an amazing place to be!

Cons

As a young individual, within the early stages of my career, it is tough to understand the ebbs and flows of the insurance industry. This has nothing to do with FCCI as a company, just inexperience... with an insurance market that has periodic challenges. With that said, FCCI emphasizes the importance of Change Management and respects the assortment of challenges and opinions that arise within each situation.

Advice to Management

Continue on the path you are on! Keep up with your continuous urge to improve, continue asking "why" as well for feedback from those working daily to make this company amazing and continue having... faith in the teammates that you have entrusted this company to.
