Former Employee - Production Builder

I worked at Penumbra full-time for more than a year

Pros

It's a great place to get your foot in the door in a manufacturing business. They would hire people with zero experience which is great because I, myself, didn't have any. I learned a lot from... everyone here. From regular product builders to leads to supervisors to managers up to directors. I feel with my time spent here, that management truly cares and look out for the little guys. They want to help and make the job easy as possible for us. They make a great deal about the products and how it saves lives. So quality is always the subject of meetings (not a bad thing). Benefits are great, pay is better than most places in the east bay (especially for entry level), a lot and A LOT of overtime plus differential on swing shift.

Cons

Parking is a bit cramp during the day (its shared with other businesses). Some co workers might be hard to deal with but thats expected anywhere.

Advice to Management

Come down more often and say hi to everyone.
