Cons
There really isn't any Cons to working in this company
I have been working at Minnesota Epilepsy Group PA full-time for more than 10 years
Pros
-like the management. great personalities. understanding supervisors for the most part. -many opportunities to level up. if you don't use the resources, you won't level up. attend classes or... sessions offered by the company and you will see yourself improving. self-learning is emphasized and could be essential if you want to improve. -reimbursements for boards (CLTM, R.EEG) -free parking. nurses and others have to pay for parking but not for us! -pay is great for different levels -Majority of the doctors are nice (few exceptions). -holiday pay is nice. -work for different hospitals if you like varieties. Almost as many as 5 hospitals and growing.
Cons
-most of the supervisors are great but some could be too strict or by the book. there is nothing wrong with that but it makes it harder to do the job. -benefits are okay not the greatest. I have... seen better with better health insurance and 401k match is only 2% - harder to do any surgical cases. only selected few could do it. not too open about training for surgical EEG even if you are qualified. they have lost some techs over it but I could see why it is so restrictive. -the union is ok. could be so much better if the right people were running. stewards are so useless as they only care about themselves.
Advice to Management
pay registered tech more if u want to keep them. other places are paying them more causing them to leave.
