Featured Review

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Genesis HealthCare full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Career advancement, leadership development opportunities, promotion from within. With over 400 locations nationwide the ability to grow and develop within Genesis is always available in just about... every corner of the country.

Cons

A few less conference calls would be nice.

Advice to Management

Continue to create a culture focused on patient centered care, staff recognition and promoting and expecting integrity from all employees and vendors.

Former Employee - Medical Assistant

I worked at Nephrology Associates (AL) full-time for less than a year

Pros

Health insurance Paid holidays Weekends off

Cons

Management changes what they expect multiple times a day. You will not be told but rest assurer people will complain about you doing things wrong. Yet they didn't tell you. Toxic work environment.... Unless you are a favorite you will get in trouble for doing things other employees do on the regular but you will also fix their mistakes. "We are all mefical assistants" is the mantra. Also speaking of Medical Assistants. This office is all MA's there are no Registered nurses here. However certain MA's tasked with the exceedingly more difficult tasks like patient follow ups and calling other places to schedule procedures are called Nurses. Patients are made to believe we are RN's here. High turn over rated. They mainly hire through temp agencies because they can't keep employees.

Advice to Management

Find a new career or treat everybody equally.
