I have been working at Symbol Health Solutions full-time for less than a year
This burgeoning healthcare company is genuinely the best employer I've had in 15 years. I'm excited to go to work every day because I know that I'm contributing to the positive momentum of better... health and wellness across the Southeast. This is no easy task, but I know that my small role in this organization concretely helps employers keep their workforces more productive, safer, healthier and happier. And this makes me happy too! Particularly because Symbol's management makes me feel like family here. They clearly thrive on a culture of mutual respect and accountability because management values my opinion and ideas enough to implement my professional recommendations (and then they compensate appropriately to promptly reward that innovation). They aren't shy to point out opportunities for my professional growth or improvement, but they're also incredibly flexible and genuinely understanding about my personal needs and goals. I think their work/life balance is strong and their personal approach to both clinical healthcare and staff management is sincere. It's a really family-oriented, supportive workplace environment that is unmatched in my personal opinion. I'm proud to be a part of Symbol Health Solutions.
While still a relatively new organization, Symbol's management relies on every employee to bring their A game every day, bolster the bigger team, speak up and help out. If that's a "con", then... perhaps I don't understand what "work" is in the first place. Internal communication has been a challenge in every company I've worked for in the past, but this organization seems to be open minded, prepared, and eager to learn from its employees so that it can continually improve upon this universal vulnerability. So I guess I can't label this a "con" either, really.
Advice to Management
Since it's so obvious that the Symbol Health Solutions model of medicine is not only excelling but really thriving, growing and expanding...it would be even sweeter to have some kind of profit... sharing benefit for employees who want to stick around for the long haul. I think it's good to have some skin in the game. A little more incentive to continually be at my best will only make Symbol a better organization in the long run.
