I worked at Genesys full-time for more than 8 years
Genesys has great premise and cloud solutions with marquee customers. Completely new Executive Management Team. SC teams are very collaborative. Genesys hires good people. Architecture teams... are very supportive and help everyone. Diversity is finally a focus at Genesys. Bravo! Brava! Benefits are good. Pay is decent. Nice people. Genesys as a whole is a collaborative environment. If you like to work long hours and work hard, this is the place for you.
Private Equity ownership focuses on spreadsheets, not people. Private Equity can make companies act weird and behave badly. Private Equity decisions damage company culture. Culture is changing.... Maybe good. Maybe not. Completely New Executive Management Team. No stock options unless you are a VP title or above. Leadership tells SCs how lucky they are to make so much money and other companies pay more. AEs are hired without contact center experience. Some SCs are hired without contact center experience. Hires excellent recent college grads as Associates, does a great job training for 6+ months, puts them in the field and fails to give them raises to equal field SCs after a year of experience. Experienced Genesys SCs make $200k with commission. The newly minted SCs make $80-100k with commission and leave for more money. Then Genesys trains another group of Associates and the cycle begins all over. SC Work/Life Balance doesn't exist at Genesys. Get used to working nights and weekends. Genesys just laid off a bunch of USA SCs.
Advice to Management
The new CEO is a good man with a good vision for Genesys. The SVP level and above are good. Lots of new faces. I don't believe the execs know or care about the amount of work an SC does to help... land accounts. If they knew the hours worked by SCs they would be surprised. The mid level managers are good. Keep up the push to increase diversity, awesome!
