Current Employee - Senior Director

I have been working at Gilead Sciences full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

A company with an inspiring mission and incredible track record of developing products that transform patients lives and impact public health.

Cons

Going through a period of organisational and senior management change having not seen its strongest period of growth.

Advice to Management

Focus more on good people management and development opportunities for staff. Less of a focus on inclusion initiatives that achieve the opposite.

Former Intern - Biology Technician

I worked at Smithers Viscient for less than a year

Pros

Opportunities to be involved in research Opportunities to lead by example Opportunities to learn new skills Opportunities to have overtime Opportunities to travel the country Opportunities for... personal growth Opportunities to take pride in hard work

Cons

Pettiness, waivers, laziness, cowardice, dishonesty; toxic environment both literally and figuratively.

Advice to Management

Do not punish integrity Discourage workers from complaining about another worker without first approaching said worker about the complaints.
