Current Employee - Senior Software Engineer

I have been working at Google full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Google is a pretty amazing place to work. They treat employees incredibly well, my coworkers are all talented, the problems are interesting, and the products I work on are ones that I use every day.

Cons

It is a big company, so things can be slow moving. On a technical level, there are a number of large complicated systems used internally, and navigating them can be a pain sometimes.

Former Intern - Intern

I worked at Twitter for less than a year

Pros

Impactful work and awesome intern events. Ability to develop strong connections with a high caliber group of individuals (managers, mentors, and fellow terns).

Cons

As the size of the company increases, the "startup" feel diminishes at moments. Pay is not competitive as it should be for a large tech company

Advice to Management

Keep up your commitment to #health of the platform. Create a business and technical rotational program for terns interested in staying at Twitter and exploring different aspects of the business after... graduation
