Featured Review

Current Employee - Technical Support Specialist - Seasonal

I have been working at H&R Block full-time for less than a year

Pros

The coworkers are great - everyone is helpful and you feel like a team. The job is interesting (providing in-house IT support) and the training is pretty comprehensive before getting put on the floor.... Pay is also pretty good for entry level IT, training is paid, and there's plenty of opportunity for overtime during tax season.

Cons

Pay could be a little more, but for an entry level IT job it's really nothing to complain about. Also, since the nature of the business is seasonal, many employees get mandatory furloughs, which is a... bit of a bummer considering how cool the job is.

Advice to Management

Nothing - it seems like there are a lot of good changes happening at the corporate level and local management makes it clear they've got their peoples' backs.

Former Intern - Reliability Maintenance Engineering Manager

I worked at Amazon

Pros

Great mentor program, fun projects, travel

Cons

Location was assigned based off of business needs. Worked well for some bad for others.
