I've worked for private practice and other DSO's, but this place takes the cake. I've been with the company almost 10 years and still love what I do. The opportunity to grow is continual and the... culture is outstanding. I'm not saying all 10 years have been easy, but the ones who made it miserable didn't last long. The company truly does care about their employees. While it's unrealistic to think you'll never get a poor manager/doctor/team member/etc., the company uses an array of resources for you to reach out if it becomes unbearable. I've been under some poor management while employed here, but most of those individuals are gone and I'm still here. It's comforting to know the company has your back and truly wants to employ NICE people. The region I'm in now is absolutely amazing and I plan on being here at least another 10 years.
We have a competitive benefits package, but I wish we had matching 401k. The doctors have a great opportunity for investment, so I'd like to see something better for the individuals who've been here... awhile and want to stay.
I couldn't ask for a better group of people to work with on a day to day basis. Do we have it all together, no, but what company does? Are there people striving to make a difference every day, yes... absolutely! I love the fact that even though we are 300+ office strong, we somehow continue to have that family owned feeling. It's pretty easy to do my job when the company I represent is something I believe in. I couldn't recruit for them if I didn't. Some may think this is a con but I don't; we are just picky about who we add to our awesome GEDC family lol! Our interview process is a little lengthy 2-3 interviews before we give our final seal of approval!
Like I said, do we have it all together, no, but we realize that and are always working to make improvements. 1. We could improve on effective communication between departments. 2. We don't have... 401k company matching, otherwise our benefits are pretty good. 3. There is definitely growth within the company but the path to said growth isn't crystal clear. 4. retention is always on a companies radar - increase the amount of recognition for those doing a great job. It could be in person, via company communication, our website, etc.
