Current Employee - Sales

I have been working at Hello Direct full-time

Pros

Sky is the limit. The level of organizational commitment from management is spectacular - everyone really lives and breathes Hello Direct. Sales employees are ultimately in control of their success.... If you work hard you will see good results. There are many tools given to help, such as strategies and coaching. It is a competitive, fun, and motivating environment and the people are great to work with.

Cons

The cafeteria is no longer open.

Current Employee - BYOPC Sales Associate

I have been working at Micro Center part-time for more than a year

Pros

Commission is great if you do well, so you must know your product, how to interact with others, cope with strange situations, and be quick and efficient. In BYOPC, coworkers are kind and family-like... to me, unlike others that fight for commission in other areas.

Cons

Numbers really matter to the company. If you can't get your numbers up, they will replace you with a new hire or someone within the company, no matter how good of a standing you were to them before.... It also depends on your management.

Advice to Management

Please keep in mind the history of certain employees when deciding to fire them or not. Sometimes one number does not reflect the person's knowledge, personality, and experience in the job.
