Pros

- Company ideals are inspiring. - Working in the Travel Industry is really fun - There are some wonderful people working at Hostelworld - There are always new projects happening

Cons

- Upper management demands unrealistic results that aren't based on carefully calculated statistical forecasts. - When said unrealistic results are not met, management view lower level staff as lazy... or uninterested, ignoring the many other contributing factors. - Management culture discourages progression and improvement. - Standing in the company, pay status and promotion opportunities are based on face time with the right managers, rather than results or merit.

Advice to Management

Encourage creativity. Base pay raises and company standing on actual merit. Set realistic goals based on statistical forecasts and stick to them. Appreciate employee improvement and growth.
